TSA Membership brings the following benefits:

  • Journal: A discounted subscription to the official journal of the TSA, the Journal of Transatlantic Studies.

  • Awards: The TSA offers a range of prizes and awards, including the Donald Cameron Watt Prize and Conference Travel Grants for early career scholars. The Association also awards the TSA-Cambridge University Press Book Prize and the TSA-Palgrave-Macmillan Research Award (not running in 2026), both of which are only available to TSA members.

  • Elections: The right to stand as a candidate and vote in the annual elections for the management committee and TSA officers.

The TSA membership year runs from one annual conference (held in July) to the next. Subscriptions to the JTS purchased between January and July will be for that calendar year. Subscriptions purchased between July and December will be for the following year unless specifically requested otherwise.
